Ingredients

PROCEDURE

Mix the flour with the salt and the orange food coloring powder. Add the cold butter, cut into cubes, and crumble it into the flour until you achieve a sandy texture. Add the sugar and mix well. Add the egg and the vanilla extract Mix until you have a smooth dough, then briefly knead with your hands. Cover the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm and, using pumpkin-shaped cookie cutters, cut out the cookies. For half of the cookies, create face-shaped holes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes, until they are slightly golden. Once baked and cooled (about 15 minutes), spread hazelnut cocoa cream in the center of the whole cookies and top with the cut-out ones to create the “pumpkin” effect.
